Worldwide, podiatrists are involved in scientific research concerning the diagnosis and treatment of foot problems. The complexity of foot pathology is a challenge for all professionals and for scientists in particular. The XXth World Congress of Podiatry brought together representatives from all specialist and scientific areas involved in both diagnosis and treatment of people with foot problems. The 3-day Congress featured topics varying from basic research to daily clinical practice. Through state-of-the-art and general lectures, oral and poster presentations of submitted abstracts, workshops, and meet-the-professor sessions, almost every aspect of foot pathology and foot care has been addressed. Moreover, the best oral presentation prize and best poster prize have been awarded.
